Silkies are excellent pets, they have unique fluffy feathers, black skin, 5 toes on each feathered foot, crests and beards! They have a sweet gentle nature but take a bit longer to pick things up than other chickens

Light Sussex is a very attractive medium sized traditional style white bird with black hackle feathers around the neck and on the tail. This is the hybrid version of the Light Sussex which lays smaller slightly darker eggs but more of them, than their pure bred version. The black hackle feathers are also not as well defined as the pure bred version.
